We are seeking an individual who possesses qualities such as teamwork, a positive attitude, and a solid work ethic to support our company. Position Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day inspection of machined components, sub-assemblies, and finished products manufactured at our facility. Primary Duties: Be able to interpret blueprints (Engineering Drawings) of complex machined parts and be able to inspect parts accurately. Be able to inspect Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (True position, Runout, Concentricity, Flatness, Perpendicularity, etc.) Be able to inspect complex machining parts by using manual hand tools (height gauge, micrometer, Sunnen gauge, bore gauge, pitch micrometer, optical comparator, and other hand tools) Be able to create the First Article Report in accordance with AS9102. Qualifications: 10+ years of recent inspection experience relevant to the industry, utilizing current methods Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 (True position, Runout, Concentricity, Flatness, Perpendicularity, etc.) An individual must be able to work independently with minimal guidance required. This implies good time management, planning/organization, and decision-making skills. An individual must be able to work effectively in teams with others from diverse organizational functions and backgrounds, both as a leader and as an individual contributor. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to interface with individuals at all levels and functions of the business. This individual regularly works with restricted information and must be able and willing to keep this information confidential. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational credential. Preference for certifications in precision inspection and other related disciplines Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, sit, use hands to handle objects and feel controls; reach; climb stairs; stoop; crouch, and have vision capabilities that enable reading and viewing measurement devices and computer screens. The employee may occasionally lift to 25 lbs.
