Capstan Medical is looking for production sewers to work in our West Side Santa Cruz facility! Capstan Medical is in development of a heart valve replacement therapy. Producing the implants we use is done by hand, using a processes that consist of hand sewing on a microscopic scale. Duties include straight stitching using a needle holder, done under a microscope. Training may be provided if necessary! Essential skills are: -The ability to hand stitch using a needle holder (tweezers) -Comfortable using a microscope for long periods of time. -OK with repetitive motion. -Comfortable with working in a clean room environment -Good attitude, willing to learn, and work hard!! Candidates without experience may take a sewing test at our facility. Passing applicants without experience may start at $27/Hr. Applicants with med device experience may earn more.

It is imperative that employees wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols. A metals distributor in the San Diego area has an opening for a full-time Saw Operator & Inspector to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday (7:30 am to 4:00 pm) & available to work OT as needed.
