PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER I: Under direct supervision, perform basic and routine electro-mechanical assembly operations. Use tools such as drills, soldering guns, screwdrivers, measuring instruments, and other hand tools. Follow verbal and written instructions such as drawings, assembly layouts, sketches and work instructions in completing highly repetitive tasks. MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER II: Under minimal supervision, exhibit skills in all pre-requisites for Mechanical Assembler I plus: Ability to perform a wider variety, more complex assembly and sub-assembly tasks. Demonstrate ability to organize and set up work area to maximize efficiency and quality. Perform quality checks. May perform conformal coating. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS.
