The Rallye Motor Company, Long Island's premier luxury automotive group, has an opportunity for an experienced Service Advisor with Rallye BMW! The ideal candidate is looking for a long-term position with an outstanding team, who is able to influence the volume of the service business and plays a key role in ensuring a seamless and personalized automotive experience. Must be an energetic, reliable, motivated individual with at least 3 years of automotive service advisor experience. BMW/German Vehicle Advisor experience strongly preferred. Responsibilities for this position include: Establish ongoing consulting relationships with customers by being available during business hours to answer questions, explain additional repairs needed, and make arrangements for subsequent service reservations. Promote the sales of appropriate services, parts, and accessories by accurately identifying the customer's service needs and by thoroughly understanding the BMW product and service lines. Establish working agreement with the customer by determining and verifying customer's service needs and recording them along with current vehicle and customer information on the repair order (phone numbers such as home, office, fax, pager & cellular phone.) Also, record the initial estimate signatures and verify the location of the customer so that no work starts without customer approval. Ensure all customer vehicle damages have been accurately identified on the check-in sheet. Aide in the inspection of the vehicles to accurately identify customer service needs, so the number of comebacks related to improper repair orders is minimal. Coordinate with the Service Manager, Shop Dispatcher, Shop Foreman, and other service personnel in order to communicate with customers and technicians regarding repair work. Determine time of completion. Advise customers of early or late delivery, or of any additional repairs. Ensure delivery of vehicles to customers when work is completed. Balance workload, repair orders distributed equally based upon technicians skill and efficiency. Maintain the customer follow-up system by adhering to the BMW guidelines. (I.e. fax completed repair order to customer for approval, confirm vehicle return arrangements).
