This person will work with participants, guide them on using electronic wearables, and make sure data is collected accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is good with technology, communicates well, can offer basic tech support, and helps keep the study organized and running smoothly. This is a part-time position making $15 per hour. Environmental Works is currently hiring for an Experienced Underground Utility Locator for our Heating Oil Tank Department. The primary duties of an Underground Utility Locator will include: -Operate locating equipment including ground-penetrating radar (GPR), magnetic detectors, and pipe and cable tracers. -Accurately mark located objects, complete the necessary documentation, and take detailed photographs to assist our project managers and field staff with subsequent work. -Prepare reports documenting your daily findings and submit them to our customers. -Interface directly with our clients and their representatives while on a project site. -Cross-train with our Radon Mitigation department to assist with in-home radon testing as needed. About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented PLM Analyst with proven expertise in asbestos testing. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) analysis of bulk asbestos samples and have formal training or certification in the field. Key Responsibilities: Perform asbestos analysis of bulk building materials using PLM in accordance with regulatory methods. Accurately identify and quantify asbestos fibers. Prepare and analyze samples with a high degree of precision and attention to detail. Document and report findings in compliance with laboratory quality assurance standards. Work independently or collaboratively within a laboratory team. Qualifications: Demonstrated experience conducting PLM asbestos analysis. Must have completed training through the McCrone Research Institute or hold documented approval/sign-off from another accredited laboratory. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to maintain accurate records. Familiarity with applicable regulatory methods and quality control procedures.
