Description

The Construction Manager will be responsible for administering and directing the construction project throughout the initiation, planning, execution, and closure phases.  The Construction Manager will be the main point of contact with the Client Representative for all construction related activities in the surrounding Rochester area. Duties:  Manage the pre-construction process, including schedule, budget, and quality monitoring and control. Manage the bidding process including contractor solicitation, bidding, evaluation, and selection.   Manage daily activities during the construction execution phase including the project schedule, budget, and the QA/QC process. Manage the organization, tracking, review, and disposition of various construction phase engineering and construction documents including Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, shop drawings, and change orders. Coordinate with multidisciplinary designers, contractors, and clients to communicate project status and set priorities. Provide agenda and conduct periodic project coordination meetings. Resolve construction issues and manage risks to mitigate negative impacts to project and client. Position requires work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends, and frequent travel to project site(s). Requirements Qualifications:  Minimum 10+ years of construction management experience. Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or similar degree. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities. Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred. Current New York State Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license preferred. Construction Management (CCM, and/or PgMP, PMP) certification preferred. Experience with computer aided drafting software, proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT preferred. Experience with Construction Management software (Primavera, Procore, RsMeans, etc.) preferred. Project Engineer
This position is responsible for coordination of all engineering and field activities related to assigned projects. These projects include new construction and renovations. Provide leadership support for assigned projects to the Albireo Energy project team, subcontractors, contractors, and customers to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction as well as positive financial results. Essential Functions:  An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.  Support the Project Manager complete assigned projects on or before the scheduled completion date by coordinating with and facilitating communication.  This includes sales to operations turnover, application engineering, programming, and field execution. Demonstrate comprehension of project specific control sequences and related scope. Coordinate and collaborate with BAS application engineers to develop shop drawings, submittals, databases, programs, and graphical interfaces. Provide quality assurance of engineering packages prior to submission.  Must have the ability to modify packages as necessary before and after submission to customers. Understanding of the scope of work, ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications. High level understanding of end user standards and requirements.  Maintain those standards for all scope and the life of the project. Proactively communicate technical issues to project managers and more senior level technicians as well as contractors and subcontractors. Collaborate with the Project Manager to forecast revenues and re-estimate project costs as it relates to project execution. Support the project team by performing specialist and subcontractor coordination to maintain the project schedule and working relationships with other jobsite contractors. Maintain redlines, and coordinate field markups from the project team and submit As-Built documents. Coordinate and maintain commissioning requirements for third party commissioning and testing. You’ll work directly on the front lines of on-orbit spacecraft operations - monitoring, commanding, and helping maintain the health and safety of Umbra’s growing constellation of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites. For this position we are looking for a special emphasis on scripting and tool development, as well data analysis skills for analyzing spacecraft performance. This position offers a flexible work schedule, however during periods of system testing, anomaly resolution, or post-launch, it may be necessary to work off-hours shifts.
