C&D Automated Systems is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team focused on the design and development of custom automated equipment. The ideal candidate is proficient in SolidWorks and DraftSight, has strong mechanical design experience, and thrives in fast paced, and creative environments. You will play a key role in turning concepts into reality, working collaboratively with engineers, sales representatives, and purchasing personal to bring innovative solutions to life. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop custom mechanical systems and components for automated equipment - Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and DraftSight - Generate BOMs and documentation for manufacturing and assembly - Apply creative problem-solving to meet functional, cost, and timeline requirements - Work with purchasing team to specify and source appropriate components and materials - Participate in design reviews and provide input to continuously improve design practices - Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and safety requirements Requirements: - Proficiency in SolidWorks and DraftSight. - Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and materials. - Ability to think outside the box and develop innovative, practical solutions. - Highly motivated, responsible, and capable of working individually or as part of a team. - Knowledge of pneumatics, motion systems, and electrical integration is a plus.

Position Summary: Provide technical design, consultation, information and assistance to internal and external customers under direct supervision to insure that project complies with all engineering standards. The designer will work under the supervision of more senior engineers. Work will be completed in concert with the stated project requirements, all current codes, as well as Prime Electric Engineering Standards. Applicant will be responsible for designing, developing and producing permit and construction documents for electrical systems. Essential Job Functions: • Power Distribution, Signal and Lighting Design • Single line Diagrams and Panel Schedules • Lighting Fixture Selection and Schedules • Lighting Control Diagrams • Title 24 Compliance Calculations • Review shop drawings and specifications • Review, comment and process equipment and system submittals • Visit job sites for field investigations • Voltage drop, load and demand calculations • Coordination with other construction trades and disciplines • Back check of own work for accuracy and completeness before submission to others • Perform coordination between architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, process and all electrical trades • Coordinate work with the project specifications or equipment buy-out • Attend project design team meetings. Interface with various team members, particularly the client, architect, and mechanical contractor/engineer • Research and resolve drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors • Perform other duties assigned by Director of Engineering Minimum Job Requirements: • Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering a plus • Minimum 2-Years of experience in electrical systems design a plus • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word & Excel • Experience with Revit & Navis Manage a plus • Reasonable knowledge of the NEC as well as building codes and ordinances • Broad knowledge and experience with power and lighting design • Understanding of sustainable design and LEED Documentation a plus • Documents and archives work pursuant the Prime Electric standards

Responsibilities/Duties: Familiarity with New York City Engineering design standards, codes, and industry standards of practice relevant to all aspects of Professional Engineering Design. Familiarity and understanding of Contract Documents for Engineering, and administration of same during the Construction Phase. POSITION SUMMARY: This person will prepare detailed drawings and plans of architectural and structural features for new custom home and remodel projects using REVIT. Interaction with clients in a sales capacity is also a key function of this job.
