ARCHITECT / ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER (WESTCHESTER, 5 BOROUGHS OF NY)

Job Location: Lower Westchester, NY Position Overview: Dynamic Structures Inc. is seeking an entry level to mid-level architect and/or structural engineer with 0-5 years experience in high rise building restoration to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who is organized, motivated, and detail-oriented, and who is willing to work with the team and take responsibility to get the job done. Since 1993, Dynamic Structures Inc has been assisting clients to comply with the Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP) of NYC, formerly known as Local Law 11 of 1998. Our firm has been offering building consulting services to a variety of clients. Our firm has been engaged in the restoration of building facades, roofs, plazas and terraces as well as sidewalks and vaults and the preservation of historic/landmark structures. Primary Responsibilities: • Communicate with clients in an efficient manner to define the scope of work. • Create a complete set of construction documents that include drawings and specifications. • Understanding of material and detailing related to building envelope projects. • Communicate and understand task assignments and expectations. • Attend and conduct pre-bid site meetings and construction progress site meetings. • Perform site visits at construction sites to document the progress and quality of the work in compliance with the construction documents. • Access suspended and/or supported scaffolding as well as aerial lifts to inspect work being performed by the contractor as well as FISP close up inspections. • Prepare written status reports for clients. • Respond to contractor’s request for information and review submittals. • Construction management of multiple projects simultaneously. • Review water infiltration conditions and prepare written reports with recommendations. • Excellent communication and writing skills. • Computer software skills (AutoCad, Work, Excel, Outlook) • Cooperate with the design team to promote a collaborative team environment. • This position requires to be in the field between 25%-75% of time at any giving week. • This position requires a car. Experience: • 0-5 years experience in restoration of building envelope projects is required. • Familiarity with NYC Façade Inspection and Safety Program (FISP).
