The Designer will work closely with senior designers to generate concept and fabrication documents to be used by our in-house fabrication and installation teams. Position Summary: Provide technical design, consultation, information and assistance to internal and external customers under direct supervision to insure that project complies with all engineering standards. The Engineer will work under the supervision of the Director of Engineering. Work will be completed in concert with the stated project requirements, all current codes, as well as Engineering Standards. We are seeking a skilled architect/designer (full-time/part-time) with experience in multi-family (townhomes) and single-family residential subdivisions, as well as mid- and high-rise residential mixed-use projects. From schematic design packages to construction permitting documents. You will perform design work and collaborate with clients, trade contractors, and interact with city permitting reviewers. Assist head estimator with takeoffs, estimates, bids and proposals. Communicate with customers pre-bid time and write RFI’s. Coordinate with project management team upon successful award. Scheduling of labor and material delivers. Manage one to three projects while also maintaining a balance with estimating duties.
