RESPONSIBILITIES This position handles the support of the Sensitive Compartment Information Facility. This role includes: Demonstrated experience in Personnel Security (PERSEC) within the Department of Defense (DoD) or the Intelligence Community (IC), showcasing a strong understanding of the intricate interplay between safeguarding personnel, facilities, and sensitive information in a highly regulated environment. Analyzing background investigations and case files to identify security-relevant information; Creating precise and clear summaries for each case while monitoring the status of ongoing cases; Formulating recommendations, supported by justifications, to assist the customer in making decisions regarding the approval, denial, or revocation of security clearances or eligibility for sensitive positions; Drafting written reports and delivering briefings as necessary. Reviewing forms to ensure compliance with policies and directives; Maintaining personnel security files and suspense logs throughout all stages of the personnel security process, coordinating fingerprinting, and managing the submission of unclassified documents. Conducting insider threat assessments and incident reviews. Requirements Six (6) years of experience reflecting a demonstrated knowledge of personnel security policies and procedures. This experience includes: Reviewing background investigations and case files for security relevant information. Preparing accurate and concise synopses for each case and checking the status of pending cases. Developing recommendations with supporting rationale to enable the customer to decide whether to grant, deny, or revoke a security clearance or eligibility to occupy sensitive positions. Prepare written reports and briefings as required. Four (4) years of experience in: Reviewing forms to ensure accuracy in accordance with policy and directives and Maintaining personnel security files and suspense logs for all phases of the personnel security process, coordinates fingerprinting, and submission of unclassified material. Insider Threat and incident reviews. In addition to the above, SCI positions shall have six years of experience in: Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 704 Personnel Security Standards and Procedures Governing Eligibility for Access to SCI. Indoctrinating SCI personnel, including personnel screening interviews and indoctrinations briefings. Familiarity in Security Information Management System Software (SIMS) If a proposed individual does not meet both the desired education and experience qualifications, ten (10) years of professional technical activities related to personnel security would be considered equivalent. Six (6) of these ten (10) years should demonstrate experience in "1" though "4" in the DoD or IC. Four (4) of the ten (10) years should demonstrate experience in “1” though “3”. For SCI positions, six (6) of these ten (10) years should demonstrate experience in "1" and "2". A minimum Secret security clearance or higher with the ability to obtain a Top Secret w/ SCI is required to be considered for this position. Summary  Under the direction of the Systems Engineer, this position will ensure quality and responsive IT services through ongoing technical design, planning, implementation, preventative maintenance, assessment, and proactive monitoring.  The System Administrator will ensure that the County’s technology investments  support our community efficiently. The position’s purpose is to support adherence to best practices and proven methodologies to promote continuous information operations and the integration of new services and technology. The System Administrator is responsible for mission critical services requiring IT environment stability, reliability, and  security. The individual in this position must have the ability to apply subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. The exercise of independent judgment to determine appropriate action in a complex IT environment is required.  The System Administrator position entails significant responsibility of the continuity of County processes.  Essential Job Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.        Responsible for daily operation and administration of domain controllers, file servers, DNS servers, DHCP servers, proxy servers, email servers, print servers, IIS, and all other application servers. Application of compliance management controls in support of CJIS, IRS, OCSE, HIPAA, and PCI compliance.  Exchange and Office 365 administration and database management. SQL Server administration Phone systems management. Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning and implementation efforts. Strong Experience with infrastructure environments (e.g. operating system, hardware, data center, security, network, voice, end user and server / web related applications). System Administration experience with Microsoft servers and networking is required. Knowledge and experience with switches, firewalls, phone systems, Microsoft  Office 365, Exchange, wireless systems, automation tools, backup solutions, monitoring solutions, project management, disaster recovery, NIST standards, UNIX, SQL, AD, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and storage systems is required for the position. Preferred Education and Experience Experience in a city, county, state, or federal government environment is preferred.  Experience with business Information Technology applications (e.g. GIS, EMR, EHR, HR, and Finance) is preferred. Industry-recognized certifications in applicable technologies is preferred.   Additional Eligibility Requirements Able to complete a thorough employment and/or criminal history check.
