Houseworks Construction Company is hiring for our Carpenter position. About Houseworks: We are a start to finish high end residential remodeling contractor. We do residential only, with single family homes being the majority of our work. We’ve been in business for over 30 years and have given many families their dream space. Our job scope ranges from bathroom remodels to second story additions and everything in-between. Job details: Our Carpenters are responsible for start to finish work, this includes work pertaining to site prep, materials, demo, framing, concrete work, interior & exterior trim, setting windows and doors, drywall patching, cabinets, and clean up. We prefer someone who has excellent time management, ability to delegate, experience with residential remodeling, and is a good communicator. Our ideal candidate would have their own tools while we have company tools for specialty applications. We do provide a tool repair program. Since we are residential remodelers, a background check will be required upon hire. Working Hours: Full time (40 hours) Monday-Friday, year-round. Commute: Home to jobsite. Jobsite locations ranging from Edmonds, Kenmore, Woodinville, Bellevue, Issaquah, and Seattle / West Seattle. We do our best to keep the commutes local. Our office is in Maltby and where we host our safety meetings. We do reimburse for good to go tolls to lessen the burden of commuting. Our ideal candidate would be able to commute to these locations with ease, please indicate if you are moving to the area or plan to move to the area if you live outside of our work area. Overview: The Body Shop Technician is responsible for diagnosing, inspecting, and repairing recreational vehicles (RVs) and travel trailers. This position involves maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, body, and structural systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and experienced in RV or auto body repair, carpentry, or similar trades. Key Responsibilities: Diagnostics & Repair Examine, troubleshoot, and diagnose units needing repair or maintenance. Perform pre-delivery inspections and complete repair orders accurately. Repair and maintain propane gas and electric appliances. Conduct fiberglass, body, and structural repairs. Install, repair, and maintain roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awnings, and flooring. Work on cabinets, counters, plumbing, electrical, and propane systems. Repair batteries and charging systems. Use manuals, catalogs, and online tools to guide repairs. Installation & Fabrication Perform hitch installations and repairs. Complete fiberglass repairs and roofing installations. Ensure all repair work is 100% complete and up to standard. Team Support & Other Duties Collaborate with team members and follow work assignments. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of experience in the RV, automotive, or carpentry industry. Auto body shop or construction experience is highly preferred. Skilled in electrical systems, propane systems, and general maintenance. Ability to read a tape measure and use various hand tools. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Basic computer skills. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Willingness to work weekends as needed. Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms. Frequently required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 15 pounds, and occasionally up to 25–50 pounds. Our contracting business is expanding and we need a skilled painter who can also repair sheetrock! We are looking for a full-time painter / sheetrock repair person to join our team. Our painting jobs are usually interiors, doors, facia or decks. We do exteriors occasionally. Our sheetrock jobs are usually small repairs from previous plumbing and electrical work and include texturing. We also do a lot of bathroom and kitchen remodels which may require whole walls sheetrocked. If you have handyman skills, this is a plus. Qualifications Painting - Must have at least 8 years experience with indoor and outdoor brush and roller work, spraying, latex and oil based, staining and refinishing of decks, doors, molding and trim, etc. Sheetrock - Experienced in patching sheetrock, taping and multiple styles of texturing including hopper and rattle-can. Own tools and transportation. We will supply consumable supplies such as pans, rollers, drop cloths, etc. Must enjoy working alone or in a team. Stucco - Not required, but a plus if you are able to do small stucco patches and match a variety of textures. Handyman or other construction skills are a plus Customer Service Focus - Good customer skills are just as important as good trade skills Communication Skills - Must be relatively fluent in English and be able to communicate easily with people who's only language is English.
