Blackstone Shooting Sports is a state-of-the-art facility. Our guests can shop, shoot, train and even entertain. We are looking for a Gunsmith to join our dedicated team. Located in Charlotte, NC this position will be key in ensuring that our guest experience is superior by providing excellent and timely gunsmith services. The ideal candidate will also: Primary Responsibilities: Range and Rental Maintenance Maintain and optimize rental firearm cleaning and maintenance logs Perform routine rental firearm cleaning and preventative maintenance Diagnose and repair rental firearms Coordinate the replacement of rental firearms Perform routine AM cleaning of the range Check the lead/brass barrel levels and replace barrels as needed Walk the parking lot daily and pick up trash Paint and patch walls in the range Replace targets backers as needed Immediately repair downed shooting lanes General Handyman maintenance around store as needed Guest Experience Meet with our guests in store to discuss gunsmithing services Respond to all gunsmith inquiries (phone, email, etc.) Perform firearm work order check-in/out process Quickly and accurately provide quotes for repair times Provide continuous updates for work order status to guests Provide support to retail and range staff as necessary Gunsmithing and Revenue Sell gunsmith services Diagnose and repair firearms Assist with firearm malfunctions on the range Demonstrate proficiency with a wide range of gunsmithing/armor services Perform private firearm cleaning lessons Coordinate with marketing to highlight specific gunsmithing services Administrative Strictly adhere to OSHA guidelines Maintain a clean and orderly work station Maintain proper gunsmithing supplies and spare part levels Contact manufacturers and vendors for warranty work and parts Coordinate with warehouse admin for shipping firearms out to manufacturer Complete weekly gunsmithing checklist Perform physical firearm count for gunsmithing Bound Book Coordinate with Compliance supervisor regarding ATF manufacturing paperwork Maintain and obtain additional armorer certifications Requirements Qualifications: Legally able to possess a firearm Strong knowledge of firearm accessories Ability to perform function-checks and test-fires after maintenance/repairs Gunsmith degree Comprehensive knowledge of various firearm brands, generations, and platforms Must possess mechanical competency of firearm schematics and be able to use them to disassemble and reassemble firearms without supervision or direction Naturally friendly and positive attitude Excellent communication and customer service skills Able to carry out directives efficiently and effectively Desire to learn new personal and organizational skills and accept responsibility Preferences: Indoor shooting range experience Certified Gunsmith 2+ years of gunsmith experience Physical Requirements: Able to lift 50 lbs., freely access all areas of the store, and stand for long periods of time. Our contracting business is expanding and we need a skilled painter who can also repair sheetrock! We are looking for a full-time painter / sheetrock repair person to join our team. Our painting jobs are usually interiors, doors, facia or decks. We do exteriors occasionally. Our sheetrock jobs are usually small repairs from previous plumbing and electrical work and include texturing. We also do a lot of bathroom and kitchen remodels which may require whole walls sheetrocked. If you have handyman skills, this is a plus. Qualifications Painting - Must have at least 8 years experience with indoor and outdoor brush and roller work, spraying, latex and oil based, staining and refinishing of decks, doors, molding and trim, etc. Sheetrock - Experienced in patching sheetrock, taping and multiple styles of texturing including hopper and rattle-can. Own tools and transportation. We will supply consumable supplies such as pans, rollers, drop cloths, etc. Must enjoy working alone or in a team. Stucco - Not required, but a plus if you are able to do small stucco patches and match a variety of textures. Handyman or other construction skills are a plus Customer Service Focus - Good customer skills are just as important as good trade skills Communication Skills - Must be relatively fluent in English and be able to communicate easily with people who's only language is English.
