Position Overview The Vice President of Supply Chain is a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the President. This role is responsible for leading and strengthening supply chain operations across all WinTech and Pocahontas Aluminum facilities. The VP of Supply Chain oversees logistics, scheduling, procurement, and inventory management to ensure materials and products flow seamlessly from suppliers to production to customers. By driving efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness, this role directly supports our ability to deliver quality solutions on time while creating value for our employee-owners. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy - Develop and lead a comprehensive supply chain strategy that supports WinTech’s mission of creating wealth through employee ownership. - Align supply chain initiatives with overall company goals for growth, productivity, and profitability. - Drive continuous improvement in purchasing, scheduling, logistics, and delivery processes across all operations. Procurement & Supplier Partnerships - Oversee sourcing, vendor selection, and supplier relationship management across both organizations. - Negotiate contracts and agreements that ensure supply stability, quality, and cost effectiveness. - Monitor and improve supplier performance to support long-term growth. Logistics & Scheduling - Lead logistics operations including inbound/outbound transportation, distribution, fleet management, and third-party logistics partnerships. - Manage scheduling processes to ensure accurate coordination of materials and production schedules that meet customer delivery commitments. - Streamline scheduling and logistics between multiple plants to reduce bottlenecks and maximize throughput. Inventory & Materials Management - Direct inventory management strategies that balance material availability with cost efficiency. - Implement forecasting, demand planning, and scheduling tools to ensure production and customer needs are met on time. - Drive accountability and accuracy in warehousing, materials handling, and distribution. Team & Culture - Build, develop, and lead a high-performing supply chain team across WinTech and Pocahontas Aluminum operations. - Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and employee ownership. - Collaborate closely with operations, sales, engineering, human resources, and finance to strengthen cross-functional alignment. Performance & Compliance - Establish and monitor key performance indicators for supply chain cost, efficiency, and service performance. - Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. - Champion technology adoption and process improvements that enhance supply chain visibility and reliability. Requirements Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred. - 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or operations, ideally in a manufacturing environment. - Proven success leading supply chain strategies that improved efficiency, reduced costs, and enhanced customer satisfaction. - Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract administration skills. - Experience implementing ERP systems and logistics/scheduling software. - Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. - Results-oriented, with a commitment to WinTech and Pocahontas Aluminum’s values of quality, ownership, and community.
