About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Ontario, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Ontario, CA Schedule: Weekdays after 3pm Competitive hourly rate based on experience Focus Area: Foundational Literacy and Math Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children with autism, ADD, or similar learning profiles Familiarity with IEP goals, early elementary curricula, and special education strategies Strong understanding of literacy development and foundational math concepts Patient, energetic, and creative approach to instruction Ability to manage mild behaviors in a calm and encouraging way Background in education, special education, or a related field preferred Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction in foundational ELA and math concepts Support reading fluency, comprehension, and sight word recognition Use positive reinforcement strategies to maintain focus and encourage progress Adapt lessons to include student interests (e.g., Mario, skateboards, scooters, monster trucks, Disney) Monitor and manage mild frustration-based behaviors with calm redirection and positive rapport-building Assess academic levels to guide goal-setting and personalized instruction Incorporate visual, hands-on, and sensory-friendly strategies to support engagement and retention Communicate regularly with caregivers about goals, progress, and strategies used Why Tutor Me Education?
