As a Heavy Equipment Field Technician, your expertise will be critical in troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of equipment directly at the job site. Responsibilities Perform on-site inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment, including maintaining engine performance, hydraulic systems, and electrical components. Provide timely and effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime for customers. Communicate clearly with clients regarding equipment issues, repairs needed, and estimated timelines for work. Document service work performed and maintain detailed records of repairs and parts used. Work independently in the field while adhering to safety best practices and company policies. Collaborate with office staff to ensure a seamless workflow and quick turnaround on repairs. Stay current with industry trends and continue enhancing technical knowledge through ongoing training and development. Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician with specific field service experience preferred. Strong understanding of heavy machinery, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to work independently in a field environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to clients clearly. Valid driver's license is required; CDL is a plus. Physically capable of performing the tasks associated with heavy equipment repair and maintenance. Flexibility to work irregular hours or respond to emergency service requests as needed.
