Our client is a well-funded AI company backed by a16z and Y Combinator that is poised to disrupt the logistics industry. They build and deploy AI workers that automate communication—including phone calls, emails, and messages—for enterprise clients like DHL, CH Robinson, and Flexport. The company is experiencing rapid growth, gearing up for its Series B, and is on track for double-digit ARR by June. Our client is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to blend customer-facing responsibilities with hands-on technical development. You'll work closely with enterprise customers from onboarding through ongoing use, ensuring they get maximum value from the AI platform. This role requires a hands-on operator who is ready for a fast-paced, high-intensity environment. You will be responsible for: Building and deploying AI applications, with a focus on voice-to-text tuning and LLM prompting. Developing and rapidly iterating on MVP features. Integrating the platform with complex enterprise systems and APIs. Ensuring customer success by working directly with stakeholders. Requirements We are seeking a product-minded engineer with a strong technical foundation and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate is a hands-on operator who is comfortable navigating complex enterprise organizations. Must-Haves: 2–6 years of software engineering experience. Strong fundamentals across the tech stack, with a particular emphasis on Python. Experience navigating complex enterprise organizations and working with stakeholders. A Computer Science degree (a top 25 university is preferred). Willingness to work in-person, 4–5 days a week, in San Francisco. Bonus Points: Early-stage startup experience (founder/founding engineer). Experience in the logistics-tech industry. Experience with AI/ML applications or voice-to-text.
