About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP). We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Wilmington, CA Details: In-Person Tutoring in Wilmington, CA Schedule: 2 sessions a week for 1 hour & 15 mins Competitive hourly rate based on experience Focus Area: Math, Reading, SEL Support Ideal Candidate: Provide homework support and academic reinforcement in Algebra, ELA, and general core subjects Assist with reading comprehension across various content areas Support writing development including grammar, sentence structure, organization, and expression Use visual aids, interactive tools, and student interests to make lessons engaging Create a positive, encouraging environment that supports confidence and self-expression Break down complex concepts into manageable steps with plenty of guided practice Foster study skills, organization, and task completion strategies Key Responsibilities: Experience tutoring or teaching middle school students, especially in Math and ELA Ability to make academic content engaging and accessible Creative, outgoing, and comfortable working with high-energy, social learners Strong communication and rapport-building skills Spanish bilingual is a plus, but not required Background in education, special education, or youth development is a bonus Why Tutor Me Education? Connelly School of the Holy Child is excited to announce an opportunity for a creative and passionate individual to join our Development Team for a day, ash they facilitate a Visual Arts project at our Mayfield Market Event on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 8 am - 12 pm. This special event focuses on fostering creativity and holiday spirit through engaging arts and craft activities for the children who attend Mayfield Market. The Stipend for these 4 hours is $250. Responsibilities: Design and lead hands-on visual arts and craft workshop(s) for children so they can leave the event with a keepsake. Instruct participants on various techniques and mediums, including painting, drawing, and crafting seasonal decorations. Facilitate a fun and creative environment that encourages self-expression and collaboration among participants. Assist with the setup and organization of the art and craft area during the event. Work closely with the Development Team to ensure a seamless event is experience for our young guests. Provide guidance and encouragement to students, fostering a love of art and creativity. Engage with parents and community members regarding the holiday project. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Art, Art Education, or a related field preferred. Experience teaching or leading art and craft activities, especially with children. Strong knowledge of various art techniques and craft materials. Ability to create an engaging and supportive classroom environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to collaborate with other teachers and staff members.
