We are building the next generation of conversational AI agents to automate workflows for businesses. Our platform is an AI-native help desk that allows human agents to work alongside AI, increasing automation over time. Our AI agents handle both reactive and proactive automation across various channels like calls, SMS, and email, while maintaining a single, coherent conversation thread. We are a small, fast-moving team with a mission to maximize conversational automation for high-touch businesses. We need a motivated and ambitious Backend Engineer with hands-on experience building production backend systems. You should be comfortable hardening reliability, pushing down latency, evolving data models safely, and creating "paved roads" that make every other team faster. You'll thrive in our small, fast-paced startup environment where you can take on significant responsibility. Requirements Monitoring & Analytics: Implement metrics, dashboards, and alerting to track application and infrastructure performance and spot issues early. Collaborative Architecture: Work closely with our frontend and AI engineers to integrate backend modules with the broader platform. Scaling: Ensure our AI infrastructure is built to handle growing data volumes and real-time interactions with minimal latency. Qualifications 1+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems. This is an on-site role in San Francisco, CA. The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) ensures the reliability, compliance, and superior performance of supplied components and assemblies, with a heavy emphasis on electromechanics and injection molding.
