Our team is driven by clinical excellence, compassion, and collaboration in everything we do. 🔧 Key Responsibilities Submit, monitor, and follow up on insurance claims using electronic billing platforms and insurance portals Process claim denials and rejections, initiate appeals, and resolve outstanding balances Follow up with families on unpaid balances, missing documents, or insurance issues Contact insurance companies to verify benefits, follow up on claims, and obtain authorizations Use third-party billing software and payer portals to enter, review, and update claims Fax documentation as needed for claims processing, appeals, and correspondence Maintain organized records and data in Excel spreadsheets and billing platforms Create and update reports in Microsoft Word and Excel for internal tracking Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure billing accuracy Respond to client billing inquiries professionally and promptly Requirements ✅ Qualifications Minimum 1–2 years of medical billing experience (ABA or behavioral health preferred) Experience in Medicaid, private insurance, and MMA insurances. About the Role The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is the heart of our clinics - often the very first smile a patient sees and the person who sets the tone for their entire visit. As a Medical assistant, you will assist the physician, nurse practitioner, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties and providing great customer service to all our patients.
