General Laborer for Excavation & Drainage Company (Butte Des Morts)

Overview: We are seeking up to two motivated and reliable General Laborers to join our team. As a General Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting the overall operations and productivity of our organization. The ideal candidates will be capable of performing a variety of tasks and duties in various settings, including construction sites, and outdoor environments. Responsibilities/Duties: Assist with the loading and unloading of materials, equipment, and products from trucks and trailers. Perform general construction tasks, such as digging, trenching, demolition, and site cleanup, to support projects. Operate hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and efficiently under the guidance of skilled workers and supervisors. Assist with the preparation, installation, and repair of retaining walls, drainage systems, and lawns following instructions and specifications. Move and transport materials and equipment within job sites and facilities. Perform basic maintenance and cleaning tasks to ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are well-maintained and organized. Follow safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents and injuries. Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to coordinate work activities and tasks. Requirements and Skills High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education. Previous experience in construction, excavation, landscaping, or a related field is advantageous but not required. Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects, often in challenging environments and weather conditions. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment, with the ability to operate them safely. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for some positions.
