Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Fence Supervisor/Lead, the Fence Laborer position is a full-time role that executes the delivery, set-up, and pick-up of temporary fence installations on construction sites and special events. Supporting the larger operations of the company, the Fence Laborer position ensures that all his/her efforts are compliant with the company’s goals, values, and standards. Job Description: The primary responsibilities of the Fence Laborer position include the installation of both chain link and fence panels as per the prescribed layout and design of the Fence Supervisor; creating entry gates for vehicle and pedestrian entry points using privacy screen, sandbags, and various fence posts to support the fencing requirements. Examples of daily tasks are as follows: • Inspect and test the vehicle and equipment daily to ensure it operates safely and correctly. • Ensure truck is loaded with all necessary equipment and materials to complete all work assigned for the day and the load is correctly secured. • Report to assigned job and meet with the customer to review job. • Set fence poles, install fence, and pull fence to specifications. • Ensure job site is free of debris and all equipment is on the truck upon job completion. • Clean the truck and restock needed materials for future fence installations. • Perform duties safely at all times, maintain safe and clean and safe work area, and attend all tailgate and trimester/quarterly safety meetings. The Fence Laborer may also serve as a support to interdepartmental teams needs or service routes and should possess a valid (and in good standing) CA driver’s license (Class C). Job Requirements: CA Drives License C Ability to Lift up to 50 lbs. Self-Motivated and Willing to Learn Positive Attitude Toward Work General Knowledge of the Construction Industry Forklift Experience and License Preferred Knowledge of Safety Practices May be Required to Work Overtime Work hours - 6:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday Full Time Employment: Competitive Pay: Compensation: $20-$26 Based on experience.
