RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform grinding and orbital sanding on welded components. • Handle deburring processes manually while ensuring surface precision. • Remove sharp edges, slag, rust, and other imperfections from parts. • Operate entry-level tools such as orbital sanders, timesavers, and hand grinders. • Carefully manage finished goods to prevent damage during handling. • Keep the workstation clean and organized. • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. • Assist in various departments as required, adapting to shifting priorities. • Support other shop duties and tasks as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. • Previous exposure to a manufacturing or prototyping environment is advantageous. • Willingness to learn blueprint reading and use shop tools. • Ability to walk or stand for long periods and use hands for detailed work. • Comfortable bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs. • Able to function in environments with noise, temperature fluctuations, and airborne particles. • Prepared to work first shift (5x8-hour days) with potential overtime. • Flexible with schedule adjustments per supervisor direction.
