Title: House Manager & Family Assistant Location: Woodside, CA 94062 Employment Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week, potential to grow) Schedule: Monday- Thursday, 3:00–6:00 pm, 2:30-6:00 pm on Wednesdays (plus 3 - 4 flexible hours for admin tasks) Start Date: ASAP (September, 2025) Compensation: $35 - 40/hour, based on experience Overview We are a warm, busy family of four in Woodside, CA, seeking a proactive, organized, and reliable House Manager & Family Assistant to help keep our home and family life running smoothly. The role centers on supporting two active children (ages 9 and 11) with after-school transportation, homework help, and light supervision, while also managing household organization, errands, scheduling, and pet care for our energetic lab. This is a long-term role for someone who is thoughtful, detail-oriented, and confident stepping into a busy household with initiative and good judgment. We hope to start at 15-20 hours/week, with the possibility of expanding the role over time. Key Responsibilities Family Support & Child Assistance: -School pick-up (3:10 pm; 2:30 pm on Wednesdays) and safe transport to activities -Homework help and after-school supervision -Occasional babysitting for weekend date nights -Support with packing, events, and seasonal needs Household Management & Organization: -Maintain household systems: closets, storage, pantry, toy areas -Reset/tidy common spaces and prep for twice-weekly cleaners -Coordinate donations, seasonal swaps, and special projects -Oversee household calendars and reminders Errands & Inventory Management: -Track and restock pantry, fridge, household supplies -Run errands: groceries, returns, dry cleaning, gifts -Manage online orders (Amazon, Costco, Target, etc.) -Handle packages, mail, and deliveries Pet Care: -Help with existing dog caretakers -Walk/feed dog (often after school pick-up) -Manage supplies, grooming, vet, or daycare appointments -Willingness to dog sit during travel (optional) Administrative & Property Support: -Coordinate service providers (cleaners, landscapers, handymen) -Schedule/oversee maintenance, repairs, and car servicing -Assist with travel planning and packing/unpacking Additional Household Support Tasks: -Simple meal prep (family-friendly dinners 2–3x/week) -Laundry support (advancing laundry in between twice-weekly housekeeper visitslight laundry, ironing, steaming) -Occasional deep cleaning (fridge, oven, humidifiers, etc.) Ideal Candidate -Reliable, organized, punctual, and detail-oriented -Proactive, self-sufficient, and able to take initiative -Strong communicator who asks good questions and follows through -Patient, calm, and comfortable with children and dogs -High level of discretion and professionalism -Strong driving record and confidence transporting children -Experience in a similar household or family support role preferred Requirements -Non-smoker -Valid driver’s license with clean driving record -Able to pass background check -Reliable transportation How to Apply Please email with: -A brief note on why you’d be a great fit for this role -Your resume -2–3 references with contact information
