We’re growing and looking for a professional Autobody Detailer who takes pride in showroom-level finishes. 🛠️ What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities) Post-Repair Final Detail: Thorough exterior/interior cleaning after body/paint work; ensure the vehicle is customer-ready. Paint Finishing: Compound, polish, and final buff to remove light defects, overspray, nibs, and swirl marks (DA/rotary). Surface Prep: Clay bar, decontamination, panel wipe, mask-removal cleanup, adhesive residue/overspray removal. Wet Sand/De-Nib (as needed): 1500–3000 grit finishing, edge awareness, gloss restoration. Glass & Trim: Glass polish; revive plastics/rubber; ensure no sling, haze, or residue. Interior Reconditioning: Vacuum, shampoo/extract (as needed), leather clean/condition, vents/crevices, odor mitigation basics. Quality Control: Inspect body lines, jambs, edges, and hidden areas; verify no compound in seams/emblems; finalize with delivery checklist. Documentation: Before/after photos and QC notes in CRM; flag any paint defects, panel mismatches, or fitment issues. Shop Readiness: Maintain wash bay/chemicals/pad inventory; label bottles; clean tools; follow 5S standards. Collaboration: Work with painters, preppers, and estimators to hit delivery timelines; help stage vehicles for customer pick-up. ✅ What We’re Looking For (Requirements) 1–3+ years in automotive detailing (bodyshop environment preferred). Skilled with DA & rotary polishers, compounds, polishes, pads; understands cut vs. finish and clear coat safety. Knowledge of wet sanding/de-nibbing, overspray removal, and paint-correction fundamentals. Eye for detail, consistent finish standard, and pride in workmanship. Able to manage a fast-paced workflow with multiple vehicles per day. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Able to lift/move 40–50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods. Safety first: PPE use; basic awareness of isocyanates, VOCs, and chemical handling. ⭐ Nice-to-Haves Ceramic coating application, headlight restoration, light PDR support coordination. Experience capturing photos/videos for delivery and marketing.
