IMMEDIATE HIRE: Payroll Assistant position working for our Corporate office. Will be assisting with payroll requirements for a large client. Responsibilities include reviewing timeclock entries, identifying discrepancies, gathering weekly timecards, making corrections in timeclock, securing required signatures and assisting with payroll distribution. Will perform data entry, maintain an excel spreadsheet for discrepancies, and assist the on-site representatives with associated tasks. Candidate must have some experience with payroll related functions, have excellent math skills, able to multi-task, perform data entry, work with all levels of personnel and meet deadlines. Competency working with computer programs i.e. Word, excel, outlook etc. Must have excellent communication skills both in English and Spanish. Implement & oversee company training for field personal such as: a. Superintendent & Foreman Training b. Safety & Equipment Inspections c. Coordinate and oversee sub-contractor awareness and expectations of job-sites e. Implement, monitor, benchmark and enforce standards of production for self-performed work to ensure field personal are operating efficiently & effectively f. Assist with modular deliveries and coordination along with the factory production teams g. Communicate to Factory Teams, Estimating Team, Project Managers, and others of opportunities or issues in regards to production, technology, budgets, etc. h. Uphold high customer service standards through personal leadership and managed employees i. Promote the company image through exercising sound and ethical business practices as they relate to customers, suppliers, employees and the public j. Follow & promote all guidelines, policies and procedures established by the company k. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, health & safety laws & ordinances Requirements: a. High School Degree Preferred: Post Secondary Degree (Trade or Bachelor’s) b. Minimum of ten (10) years of valid construction experience and a preference will be placed on candidates with five (5) years of a leadership capacity role such as Superintendent, Foreman, or other comparable leadership in the construction industry c. The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide sufficiently to figure normal calculations d. The ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints, specifications, and contracts e. The ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations to the greatest extent possible and react to these appropriately f. Maintain valid CA driver’s License g. Proficient with Microsoft Office such as Project, Excel, Outlook, and Word h. The ability to multi-task effectively and manage stress load appropriately i. Maintain an organized works space, shop, and communication system with your field team and company personnel. j. Experience with complex and high-end residential projects Authority: a. Manage field operations in regards to directing Field Leaders, project safety, assign work and direct field crew staff for successful project progress through completion b. Recruit, hire, train, discipline, evaluate and make changes in status of all field employees in accordance with company policies and procedures c.
