Position Overview As an Electrical Apprentice, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems under the guidance of experienced electricians. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to electrical codes, and a willingness to learn the trade. You will be expected to support journeymen and foremen in various tasks while gaining hands-on experience and developing your skills. As an apprentice Electrician you will: Assist with the installation of electrical raceways, wiring, fixtures, and equipment. Pull wires, mount panels, and help with electrical terminations. Follow work instructions and safety procedures as directed by supervisors and foremen. Use and maintain protective equipment and safety gear provided. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and work orders. Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit using various tools. Help troubleshoot electrical issues and assist in repairs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Participate in training and educational opportunities to advance technical skills. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Enrollment in or completion of an electrical apprenticeship program. Valid Apprentice License. Previous experience in electrical work. Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements Standing for extended periods. Climbing ladders and working at heights. Working in noisy, dusty, or extreme weather conditions. Lifting or moving objects up to 75 lbs. Occasional travel may be required depending on project location. Possible overtime and night work as needed. Equipment or Tools Routinely Used Hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, and wire strippers. Power tools including drills and saws. Electrical testing equipment such as multimeters. The candidate should possess essential tools like a laptop, drill, Ethernet equipment, and Ethernet testing equipment to successfully execute their duties. Install, maintain, and repair low-voltage systems, including cabling, routers, switches, access points, and other network equipment. 2. Pulling and fishing Ethernet cables to ensure proper installation and cable dressing for optimal performance. 3. Terminate Ethernet cables following industry standards for structured cabling systems. 4. Replace Enterprise network equipment such as access points and switches as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to network operations. 5. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of Wi-Fi and ethernet connections using specialized testing equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly. 6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless integration of low-voltage systems with the overall network infrastructure. 7. Keep accurate records of work performed, equipment installed, and configuration changes made to facilitate tracking and maintenance. 8. Provide technical support and assistance to end-users in resolving network-related issues in a timely and efficient manner. 9. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance expertise and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications and Skills: 1. Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or in a similar role, with a focus on cooling, fishing, and terminating Ethernet cables. 2. Hands-on experience in replacing Enterprise network equipment like access points and switches. 3. Proficiency in using tools such as a laptop, drill, Ethernet equipment, and Ethernet testing equipment to perform job responsibilities effectively. 4. Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems, structured cabling, and network infrastructure and cable certification 5. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing low-voltage installations and conducti Wi-Fi surveys 6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues efficiently. 7. Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. 8. Detail-oriented approach to work with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks performed. 9. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules in a fast-paced environment. Education and Certifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2. Certification in low-voltage systems, structured cabling, or related field is preferred. 3. Additional certifications in network equipment installation and maintenance are a plus. Working Conditions: 1. This role may require working in various indoor and outdoor environments, including construction sites, data centers, office buildings, and customer premises. 2. May involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, as well as using tools and equipment to perform job duties. 3.
