Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items to standard recipes according to production projections and quality standards Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices Follow all proper procedures when handling, storing, and disposing of food items Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and sanitary work station Assist with routine kitchen tasks such as set-up, prep, and clean-up Rotate food stock to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage Requirements At least 1 year of experience as a Prep Cook / Line Cook Well-versed with cooking methods, banquet-style food service, and portion control Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to work well with a team Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures Ability to follow recipes precisely and accurately Working knowledge of various kitchen equipment and utensils Must be able to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays Benefits Pay rate of $16 an hour.
