An extreme metal band is looking for a drummer. Stylistically, our music is a mix of atmospheric black metal, melodic death metal, and folk metal. We have about an hour worth of material and currently are finishing the recording with plans to release an album this year. Tracks with somewhat finalized parts are here: https://nextcloud.trushel.net/s/CTfsmE9GqpcoFwK?dir=/Mixes You'll be able to change your drum parts as you see fit, of course. Requirements: * ability to communicate with other band members instead of ghosting. If you need to skip, let people know beforehand; * enough strong will to be sober during the practice (we can all have a beer or five after that); * physical stamina that allows playing double bass. We don't want never-ending double bass and blast beats but sometimes they are needed; * ability to play to a click (we have in-ear metronome system if you want to use it); * regular practice, about once a week, if you want more, we can do more, if you want less, we can do less; * ability to dedicate some evenings to playing shows; * not being a dick. Optional but preferred: * 21+ because most local venues are like that. Yes, there's a way to get around that, it's called play first and abandon the venue afterwards, but there's no fun in that; * experience. While we're experienced musicians who played many shows and released albums, it's fine if you're not. People have to start somewhere, right? * transportation: our studio is 15 minutes from a nearby bus stop, also drum kits aren't really compact, and you can't carry them with you. We can figure it out if necessary, but having a car that can fit your kit is VERY preferable to any other alternative; * money for studio rent, not too expensive, but it's a little bit of commitment. If you're completely broke, we could figure it out, but let's be fair to each other. We do have two drum kits in the studio. One electric, one acoustic. You, of course, can bring your own kit, but if you want to use what we have, that's absolutely fine. Just don't expect nice, expensive cymbals. We don't care about: * your age, sex, family status, length or color of your hair, skin, and clothing, accent, religious or political affiliation (as long as it's considered normal by at least 1/4 of American population); we're at our late 30ies and 40ies if that matters to you. Also: Do you play any unconventional (for metal) instruments? We can consider that! For example, do you play accordion? All our songs feature accordion. Kantele? Hurdy-gurdy? Auto-harp? Kobza? Fiddle? That would be great! We want our music to be heavy and extreme but also folky and melodic. The studio is at the end of Grant Ave in San Lorenzo (East Bay). Interested? Send an email and let's get in touch.
