Position Overview: Deliver specialized nursing care in a dynamic vascular surgery ambulatory clinic, supporting preoperative and postoperative patient management while collaborating with surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Conduct preoperative assessments and postoperative evaluations Educate patients on surgical procedures and recovery protocols Coordinate care with vascular surgeons and multidisciplinary teams Manage wound care, medication administration, and complication monitoring Document interventions in EPIC EMR per clinic standards Requirements Qualifications: Education: Associate’s/Bachelor’s in Nursing Licensure: Active NYS RN License BLS certification required; must be able to maintain/renew certification as needed. Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of comparable size and level as Hospital. Must have experience in ambulatory and surgical settings, specifically in burn, colorectal, thoracic, general surgery, and trauma. Travel nurses will only be considered if they have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or designated trauma centers. Technical Skills: Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is preferred. Soft Skills: Strong communication and patient education skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented ambulatory care environment. Benefits Why Join Us?
