Line Cook – Café Brusco (Downtown Berkeley) Café Brusco, brought to you by the team behind Rose Pizzeria, is looking for experienced and cooks. About Us: We’re an all-day café with a focus on quality coffee, simple but thoughtful food (mainly bagels & bagel sandwiches!), and a welcoming community atmosphere. Our kitchen emphasizes seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking that pairs well with coffee and natural wine. What You’ll Do: Slice and toast bagels Prepare a variety cream cheeses Slice meats / cheese Prepare condiments slice fruit Prepare food for wine bar nights Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams Uphold food quality and presentation standards Assist with prep, inventory, and daily kitchen operations What We’re Looking For: Previous line cook experience (café, restaurant, or bakery preferred) We are looking for people that can work 4 to 5 days a week and weekends are a must. Morning person - these shifts start early at 7/7:30 am on most days! Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Commitment to cleanliness and food safety standards Team-oriented, positive attitude - you will be interacting with guests in an open kitchen environment.
