Attention Servers and Hospitality Specialists: Starting at $21/Hr (Tucson)

1702 N 15th Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705, USA
Both part-time and full-time positions available. Note, this is not a traditional restaurant job advertisement, so please carefully read through it first.
If you genuinely enjoy working with the “people side” of the hospitality and dining services industry but are looking for a long-term professional career instead of just a job, this position may be for you.
We are seeking individuals who have the ability to use their valuable service-team oriented skills to help us in the technology community (and get paid well for it). We found that great hospitality servers have critical skills we desire but in a different way. We are a technology services organization located in Tucson, AZ (https://crosswalktechnologies.com) and we want to hire hospitality-service-experienced people. Some examples of what we do are:
• Computing and Internet cloud related technologies
• Digital communication and network technologies
• Digital data storage, protection, and cybersecurity technologies
• Commercial multimedia and audio technologies
• Facilities and personnel security and protection
• Computer and business technology education
• Healthcare computing and clinical technologies
“I waited tables for years in a high-volume restaurant and was frustrated by the lack of opportunities. I didn’t know how or where I could apply my skills for something better. I never expected it would end up being the foundation I needed to become a manager at a high-tech service company after only 2 years, but that’s what Crosswalk Technologies has helped me accomplish. I love what I do.”
- Zach Parkinson, Crosswalk Technologies Field Service Manager
Entry-Level Position Description:
• Customer account specialist
• Technical services specialist
• Service coordination specialist
• On-site customer troubleshooter
Ideal Full-Time Candidate:
• You desire a long-term professional-level career with benefits
• You consider “wash, rinse, repeat” jobs boring and crave variety
• You would rather be in the field instead of sitting behind a desk all day
• You thrive on being the “cavalry coming to the rescue”
• You consider yourself a critical thinker, a “social talker”, a relationship builder, and an extrovert
• You would love to lead a team someday but have no problem starting with the basics to gain experience
• You have enough life experience and humility to understand that empathy and kindness is more important than being right
• You love physical labor work that cause you to break a sweat
• You love mental labor work that cause you to concentrate
• You would enjoy hanging out and do adventurous stuff with your teammates outside of work
We consider this an entry-level position, and will provide you with all necessary training (no business technical skills or degrees necessary). What we care about (what you bring to the table) is your professionalism, focus, work ethic, people skills, and just being an all-around likable and non-confrontational person. Other things that are necessary for this position are:
• Be professionally presentable with good personal hygiene (you will be working with business owners, doctors, and other professional specialists at their facilities).
• Be able to safely lift 40lbs of equipment and carry it for at least 40 yards without hurting yourself or the hardware you are transporting.
• Be mechanically inclined. Can you safely use hand-held power tools and ladders without hurting yourself or others around you?
• Is your current lifestyle conducive to working while simultaneously going back to school (we place you in a company-based training program that will feel like going to back to school part time)?
• Is your current lifestyle flexible enough to cover some projects that may sometimes take place off-hours and weekends
• Is your current lifestyle flexible enough to cover some projects that will sometimes take you out of town (are you able to fly commercially and or drive to other cities)
• Be coachable. Are you comfortable learning technical topics, project management, logistics, inventory control, and leadership skills?
• You will be expected to visit our customers at their place of business (good customer service) so you will need reliable and safe transportation (no motorcycles, bikes, public transportation, etc...).
• Do you reside in Tucson, AZ, and not currently under any legal or criminal actions/restrictions/investigations (can you work legally in the United States)?
• If applicable, would you have any interest in leading a team of your peers (we love to promote from within when possible)?
• You agree with our company's ethos (you can read it here): https://crosswalktechnologies.com/about
We have a fun and enjoyable working environment that promotes team building and encourages friendships amongst our work peers. Your employment benefits compensation would include medical benefits, business attire, company cell, tools, regularly scheduled training and skills improvement events, and other misc. items. If our available positions fit your personal needs and goals, please contact us so we can meet you. You can simply reply to this post and let us know that you would like more info on what we do and how you could be part of our great organization.
See you soon!
