Shy Shy is a new cocktail bar in Chelsea from the team behind Jungle Bird. Our beverage program, led by Krissy Harris, highlights botanical-forward cocktails with a special emphasis on martinis, with a focus on showcasing female producers. The program is complemented by a food menu inspired by the coastal flavors of the Pacific Northwest, designed to pair beautifully with our cocktails and create a complete guest experience. We are seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our team, set the tone on the floor, and deliver memorable guest experiences. What You’ll Do - Act as the active floor leader 5 days per week, setting the standard for service. - Manage FOH scheduling to balance coverage and labor targets. - Partner with the Operations Manager on systems, standards, and accountability. - Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members. - Participate in performance reviews and provide ongoing staff coaching. - Develop and refine steps of service to ensure smooth nightly execution. - Provide ongoing feedback, support, and motivation to FOH staff. - Oversee seamless integration of the cocktail and food programs during service. - Utilize Toast and Resy to manage service flow, reservations, and reporting. - Support large parties, VIPs, and guest feedback with professionalism.
