SUMMARY The role of the Procedures Electrical Engineer Level I is pivotal in creating and ensuring the quality of the procedures for Power Generation Simple Cycle (SC), Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT), and Combined Heat and Power Projects (CCHP) in Multi Shaft and Single Shaft configurations. This position reports to the Procedures and Quality Control Manager and is responsible for coordinating, creating, and reviewing Construction and Commissioning procedures, ensuring quality documentation is submitted. Capture, track, and implement procedure improvements will also be part of the responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Procedures Electrical Engineer Level I is expected to demonstrate high independence and responsibility. They should be able to evaluate and apply methods and techniques to develop electrical installation and commissioning procedures, implement standard engineering criteria, and use independent judgment with moderated supervision. Review electrical engineering designs, including single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, connection diagrams, protection schemes, equipment tree line diagrams, load lists, etc. Evaluate alternate and direct current designs capable of developing power plant standard equipment installation and commissioning procedures. Knowledge of main power plant electrical components, such as power and distribution transformers, control transformers, current transformers, generators, Automatic Voltage Regulators, static frequency converters, generator protection panels, and other auxiliary equipment. The ideal candidate for the Procedures Electrical Engineer Level I position should be familiar with gas turbine control, governor for speed control, main instruments and control loops, and auxiliary gas turbine equipment. Ensures electrical system designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards (NEC/NFPA 70, CEC, IEC, etc.). Effectively coordinates support to field engineers, including clarification of procedures for equipment supplied by the company. Correctly interprets and applies codes and standards and customer design requirements to prepare electrical erection and commissioning procedures, specifications, material requests, and system descriptions related to supplied equipment. Conduct extensive document and design verification to deliver a complete set of electrical procedures deliverables. Manage time efficiently to meet submission dates. Plan and create Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, and manage the internal CAPA (Corrective Action, Preventive Action) system for the team processes. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Elaborate technical reports, presentations, and detailed research documentation for all projects and initiatives related to the electrical discipline. Knowledge of performing evaluations on short circuits and coordination of protection studies. Support and provide procedures clarification on construction sites to ensure projects are constructed according to specific designs and local standards. Ensures projects conform to federal, state, local, and company engineering standards and specifications. Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using for the benefit of 3rd parties. Always maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity. Knowledge of ISO procedures and OSHA safety requirements would also be an asset Language Skills: English, ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Having Spanish, Portuguese, or Japanese as a secondary language skill will be highly considered. Reasoning Ability: The ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, analyze problems of either machine-related or computer-generated data, and have the ability to communicate clearly.
