Job Title: Process Engineer Location: Waverly, Iowa Salary: $65-90K  Job Summary of the Process Engineer: The Process Engineer will provide engineering support by overseeing assigned production operations, handling technical issues as a contact for customers, troubleshooting product production issues, and improving processes to ensure quality, safety, and economic viability.  Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Process Engineer: Develop process/project engineering plans for assigned projects and present to corporate engineering and site management. Lead and/or support engineering projects at the facility, including ensuring the success in meeting various objectives such as schedule, budget, and related  Supports the development of a project budget and monitors expenses, adjusts and offsets expenses in other areas if necessary Consults with contractors, vendors, and/or suppliers to finalize engineering project specs and/or installations Reports back to site management team and corporate engineering on project status Meet with relevant customers to ensure needs are met and/or find and determine the relevant path forward and justified by business objectives. Support and/or lead the development and writing of manufacturing SOPs and/or work instructions with Process Leads. Oversee assigned ongoing production jobs Direct production personnel working on assigned projects Prioritize critical tasks to meet production goals Oversee and/or run production and/or development jobs Implement the production schedule put forth by the Operations Manager and/or the Production Manager Implement equipment/process training programs for Operators Provide coverage for Production Operators during breaks and as schedule dictates Project Scale-up and Process Improvement Identify process bottlenecks and develop a streamlining strategy Coordinate the implementation of the streamlining project Coordinate process improvement efforts and communicate to customers as appropriate Work closely with other members of the engineering team to scale-up design of new processes and equipment Work closely with other members of the engineering team on equipment installation, streamlining, and troubleshooting Work with the Site Manager to identify areas for process improvement Regularly update the status of projects with Management Work in multi-function teams Work closely with the Project Manager to understand customer expectations Work closely with the Project Manager to evaluate job costs for current and future proposals Provide technical expertise and be a technical resource for the company Report maintenance issues / requests to the Maintenance team Identify routine maintenance failures and provide long-term solutions Be the technical lead for key customer accounts as defined Other duties as apparent or assigned Ensure a safe working environment and help assess and minimize risks to the company in all areas such as health, safety, environment, quality, ethics, and customer service Requirements Education & Experience Requirements of the Process Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related, and/or equivalent experience 1-5+ years experience in chemical/food manufacturing environment OR without a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 10 years’ experience in applying engineering principles and processes in a comparable industry is required. Food manufacturing plant experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of ISO, QSR/GMP, and quality processes and procedures preferred

The Chief Engineer has experience working in a hotel setting. The Chief Engineer will supervise the maintenance team and responsible for the physical condition of the hotel to ensure highest standards of guest satisfaction within allotted budget. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. This is a FT position with on call responsibilities. Responsibilities · Hands-on daily management and supervision of the Maintenance Department including scheduling, hiring, training, and coaching of staff. Overseeing engineering operations and expenditures. · Collaboration with General Manager in preparing the annual budgets. Daily inspections of units under maintenance. · Participating in walk-through with management to ensure residences, public areas, and heart of house areas are well maintained and preventative maintenance processes are in place. · Presenting recommendations for property improvements to General Manager. Providing information to General Manager to determine the need of utilizing outside contractors. · Overseeing all capital construction and major maintenance projects. Obtaining certificates and permits and setting up a renewal monitoring program. Requirements · To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility in a safe and satisfactory manner, and the individual must be punctual and have a good attendance record and have reliable means of transportation to work. · Supervises, develops and maintains an ongoing maintenance operation for hotel, including refrigeration, heating, plumbing, water treatment, preventive maintenance, hotel rooms, air/heating units, ice machines, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, emergency generators, water softeners, switch rooms, roof exhausts, electrical substations, etc. · On an ongoing and regular basis, inspects and evaluates physical condition of entire hotel asset, including all guestrooms, public areas, pool area; completes and retains inspection reports on a regular and timely basis, using then-current Company inspection forms. · Works closely with other departments (i.e., Front Office and Housekeeping Departments on maintenance and repairs issues) to ensure high level of customer satisfaction. · Orders material and completes work assignments on time and by a specified date. Performs work within departmental expense plans. · Maintains hotel by performing painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Replaces/cleans air conditioner filters. Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating and ventilating equipment. May tend furnace, air conditioner and boiler to provide heat, cool air and hot water for guests. Interprets specifications, job orders and company policies to maintenance employees. · Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, recommends measures to improve production. Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists employees in resolving work problems. · Training and monitoring safe practices of staff. Requirements A minimum of three years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferably in a hotel property. · Strong written and oral communication skills. Functional and productive skills using technology such as personal computers, smartphones, and Microsoft software. · Familiarity with hotel property management systems, purchase order and procurement systems, and the ability to learn new software and related applications including work order and productivity systems. · Supervises and motivates maintenance staff including hiring, firing, coaching, counseling, evaluating and training activities. Communicates verbally and in writing with all levels of employees. Attends periodic meetings with General Manager and/or Team Members. The work includes engineering design analysis for plumbing systems including water, waste and vent and HVAC systems including floor plans and schedules, and general research of new technologies as applicable. Participate in development of mechanical designs from concept through completion of construction. Prepare engineering design calculations, create layouts, and write detailed engineering reports.
