Description

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in accounting procedures? Do you have a solid background in working with accounting software and managing financial data? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accounting Associate to join our growing team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for processing business transactions, supporting accounts payable and receivable, managing expense reports and receipts, and assisting with other key financial tasks. Essential Functions: Maintain accurate financial records, spreadsheets, and general ledger entries Process invoices, payments, billing adjustments, and credits Reconcile accounts and post customer checks and ACH payments Monitor vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Support collections efforts through calls and emails as needed Assist the Accounting Manager, team, and other departments with administrative and financial tasks such as filing, mailing, and reporting & maintaining accurate records The City Wide team is committed to positively impacting the lives of everyone within the City Wide community of franchisees, clients, employees, contractors, and vendors. Requirements Highly detail-oriented with accurate data entry skills and strong follow-through on commitments Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and 10-key operations Solid knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting best practices, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Strong time management and multitasking abilities; able to prioritize in a fast-paced environment Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong analytical and problem-solving skills High school diploma and 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred Benefits City Wide Facility Solutions is pleased to offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation program that rewards talented employees for their performance. The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the complete and accurate processing of agency payroll. The ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail is essential for this position. This person is also responsible for processing of accounts payable invoices and payments. The ability to maintain and reconcile a wide variety of accounts will be essential to this position. Requirements MSS is looking for a candidate who has experience with preparing and processing payroll and processing Accounts Payable functions. Experience working with Paylocity to process payroll is a plus. We are looking for a candidate who will take ownership of the process and is continuously looking for opportunities to add value and make improvements. Accurate record keeping skills and demonstrated ability to work with spreadsheets along with the ability to complete reconciliations is key to success in this position. All candidates must pass a Department of Human Services background check and a criminal background check. Benefits This is a full time position. The starting wage is $23 - $26 per hour depending on previous experience.
