Work Opportunity: Vehicle Cleaning & Documentation Contractor (1099) Position: Independent Contractor – Vehicle Cleaning & Documentation Company: CE Collective LLC Location: Bloomington, MN (near MSP airport) Overview CE Collective LLC is seeking reliable and detail-oriented independent contractors to clean and document rental vehicles. This role involves: Cleaning vehicles before and after trips Taking pre- and post-trip photos Ensuring vehicles meet rental standards Monitoring/coordinating damage and maintenance Contractors must adhere to the outlined procedures while maintaining flexibility in scheduling their tasks. This contract is for an independent contractor available to complete vehicle cleaning and check-in services on either Monday-Thursday or Friday-Sunday (contractor has opportunity to take both contracts if wanted). Contractors may choose when to perform the work each day, as long as all tasks are completed on time BEFORE guest check in times and adhere to company standards. We currently operate 20 rental vehicles near MSP airport and plan to grow in the near future. These contractor rates are for 20 vehicles but will increase as the fleet grows. There are typically only 3-4 turn arounds per day as of now. Responsibilities -Clean vehicles inside and out before and after each rental (includes vacuuming & wiping each time and occasional car washes when needed) -Take clear, comprehensive pre and post-trip photos for documentation. This is vital for insurance coverage of the vehicles. -Follow contactless check-in and check-out procedures for each vehicle. -Share all vehicle photos through the designated rental platform for verification. -Identify and report any damages, smoking evidence, or missing items to the host immediately. -Monitor vehicle maintenance needs by tracking mileage and referencing oil change stickers. -Schedule or notify the host of necessary maintenance if the vehicle is overdue or showing dashboard alerts. -Ensure all keys are secured in designated lockboxes. -Use ozone machines to remove smoke or marijuana odors when detected. -Ensure all vehicles are parked in the designated lot and in ready-to-rent condition. -Handle lost-and-found items per host instructions. Requirements -Must have reliable transportation to and from the vehicle lot. -Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. -Attention to detail in both cleaning and documentation. -Ability to operate lockboxes and follow security protocols. -Must have a smartphone with a camera for documentation and communication. We primarily use Whatsapp which can be downloaded once under contract if needed. -Must be able to lift and move cleaning equipment. -Experience in car detailing or vehicle maintenance is a plus but not required. -This role involves occasional vehicle transportation. To be eligible, contractors must have a valid driver's license and a driving record free of major violations. -Due to the nature of the work, preference will be given to contractors who can reliably report to MSP area within 15 minutes. -Most work takes place outside - must be okay with weather conditions year round! Compensation Company agrees to pay Contractor as follows: -Base Pay: $780 per month (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) + $100 bonus per month for fulfilling 100% of assigned turnarounds. OR $420/per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) + $50 per month for fulfilling 100% of assigned turnarounds. Incentives: Contractor may earn additional pay as follows: -$50 for each approved smoking reimbursement -$50 for each approved cleaning reimbursement -$5 for each approved gas reimbursement fill up -10% service fee added for contractors on top of vehicle maintenance receipts -Delivery fee of $20 per delivery to MSP airport (shuttle is provided for your transportation use) Payment will be issued twice monthly via Zelle. Contractor is responsible for any taxes and expenses incurred in performing the services. They will be reimbursed for any expenses made on behalf of guests (like gas). Contractors: -Are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and expenses. -Maintain the right to accept or decline assignments without penalty. -Set their own schedules within the required turnaround times for vehicle servicing. -Use their own cleaning supplies unless otherwise agreed upon. -Are not subject to company-provided benefits, supervision, or employment policies. -Contractor must maintain their own insurance By structuring this role as a 1099 contractor position, CE Collective LLC ensures compliance with IRS guidelines distinguishing independent contractors from employees. The contractor retains control over how tasks are completed, provided they meet agreed-upon quality standards and deadlines. This structure allows for flexibility while ensuring vehicles are maintained to the required standards.
