General Position Description The maintenance technician will perform a variety of tasks on a 25-acre residential property. The technician will handle basic tasks in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting. The team keeps the units, buildings, and equipment maintained and repaired; handles unit inspections; responds to after-hour maintenance calls; ensures that the department has the required materials and supplies in inventory; works cooperatively with contractors and vendors servicing the property; and assists with keeping the maintenance shop in good order. The technician will participate in heavy lifting, appliance removal and installation, digging, cleaning, and other manual labor tasks as required. Desired Attributes and Qualifications • Work experience in general maintenance in the areas of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting • Hardworking, able to lift 75 lbs, walk up and down hills/stairs, stand for periods of time, bend and otherwise move freely to satisfactorily handle job duties • Good people skills, team player • Able to speak, read, and write English and communicate ideas to meet the requirements of the job • History of good attendance, following procedures, and staying on schedule • Computer knowledge in entering information into a database and email helpful • Driver license, current auto insurance, and satisfactory driver’s abstract

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator & Programmer with experience in architectural millwork and custom fabrication to join our Make x Affect team at our Fabrication Facility located in Yonkers, NY. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality millwork components for commercial, retail, and hospitality projects. Key Responsibilities: Program, set up, and operate CNC routers for architectural millwork production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Read and interpret shop drawings, CAD files, and work orders to ensure precision and accuracy in output. Create, adjust, and optimize CNC software such as SAI EnRoute, AutoCAD, AlphaCAM, or Microvelum to maximize efficiency and minimize material waste. Perform machine setups including tool changes, calibration, and fixture adjustments. Detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates components in line with design specifications. Conduct quality checks on finished components to ensure compliance with design specifications and tolerances. Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machinery to ensure continuous, safe operation. Keep detailed records of operations, including production and quality logs to maintain operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and shop personnel to resolve technical issues and improve workflow. Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area. Assist in other workshop tasks as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Required: 3+ years of CNC operating/programming experience in a millwork or woodworking environment. Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery, and architectural millwork standards. Ability to read and interpret detailed shop drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM files. Strong proficiency in CNC programming software (e.g., AlphaCAM, EnRoute, Microvellum, or similar). Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks. Commitment to shop safety standards and proper practices. Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong numerical skills for precise measurements and calculations. Preferred but not essential: Prior experience with Biesse CNC machinery. Certification or Technical Degree in CNC Machining, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering or related field. Familiarity with ERP/shop management systems (e.g., Innergy, Microvellum, or similar). Knowledge of tooling, cutting strategies, and machine optimization in a production millwork setting. Familiarity with AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute) standards, local building codes, and ADA compliance regulations. We are seeking a lead carpenter with 5-10 years experience in architectural millwork. We specialize in manufacturing wood windows and doors for Historic buildings in the Brooklyn and Manhattan area. We have been in business for over 45 years and are looking to expand our team. Minimum of 5-10 years experience required. Experience using machinery a must! This job will require the use/knowledge of all machinery for surfacing material (jointer/planer) as well as experience with shapers, tenoners, and mortisers. This is a full time position.
