Tek Spikes is looking for a highly skilled UAT Manager / UAT Test Lead to join our team on a contract basis. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the user acceptance testing (UAT) process, ensuring that our software solutions meet the business requirements and quality expectations. You will work closely with stakeholders, business users, and development teams to define testing strategies, create test plans, and lead UAT efforts throughout the product lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Lead the UAT process, coordinating the efforts of business users and testing teams to ensure comprehensive testing of applications. Define UAT strategies, develop test plans, and establish testing criteria based on business requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key areas for testing, manage expectations, and communicate the testing status. Facilitate UAT sessions, guiding users through the testing process and collecting feedback on the user experience. Ensure that defects are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner, coordinating with development teams as necessary. Provide training and support to end-users to enhance their understanding of the system and its functionalities. Document UAT results, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders, ensuring alignment on product quality. Continuously evaluate and improve UAT processes to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness. Requirements Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on user acceptance testing (UAT). - Proven experience in leading UAT efforts and managing user involvement in testing processes. - Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools, with an emphasis on UAT best practices. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and propose solutions. - Strong communication skills to effectively engage with business users, stakeholders, and team members. - Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA) and defect tracking systems. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Preferred Skills: - Experience in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus. - Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role is advantageous. - Knowledge of business analysis principles and practices is beneficial.
