(required) Is highly organized and detailed oriented to document service calls meet compliance requirements. (required) ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshooting connectivity issues. Testing and labeling of wires and connectors. Ability to unriddle others work. Diagnosing and replacing devices and hardware. Ability to go into a service call with limited knowledge or data of a known issue and independently diagnose the root cause, propose how to fix the issue, and properly communicate to on-site staff the stage of repair. Termination of wiring (Cat 5e/6/6A, Coax, 14/2, 18/2 etc.). Terminations of CCTV, Access Control, and Visitor Entry Systems. Installing support structures for solutions (Racks, J-Hooks, conduits, etc.). Maintain a professional positive relationship with the customer and pass on needed information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up. Read and interpret various blueprints, diagrams, and submittals. Additional experience with fire alarm systems (preferred). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Duties include the use of a ladder. May be asked to perform tasks that require long periods of standing, sitting, bending, twisting or reaching above the shoulders. May include driving to and from multiple service calls in one day. Repeated use of power tools. Ability to climb and descend stairs repeatedly throughout the workday. Candidate will need to frequently lift, pull, or push up to 50 lbs. Geographical Area: As a “Puget Sound” employee you will be asked to complete service work from Marysville area to Tacoma area.
