Work includes all facets of exterior painting (i.e. pressure washing, scraping, sanding, priming, caulking, masking, spraying and finally neatly painting trim) Work most likely be temporary (to early November), but possibly could turn into winter (interior work). Someone with some mechanic and carpentry skills is preferable as we always have equipment to work on and projects to complete. We also have lots of hay to cut, bale and stack so tractor driving would also be a plus. The housing situation is a small bedroom, bathroom, and small living room type area in the basement of the main house where there is also a washer and dryer. Board includes utilities and use of kitchen, unless there is excessive usage in which case there will be extra charge. The position involves working 7 days a week. There will be morning and afternoon barn chores (feeding and turning out horses, cleaning and restocking stalls, feeding small animals) and other farm related jobs and projects so it basically would be comparable to working each day. There will be opportunity to ride and to participate in other events at the farm or in the community. **Time off will need to be negotiated with the owner as the animals need to be cared for every day.** Pay: $2400 per month with $1200 of that applied to board, leaving $300 cash paid at end of each week.
