Experienced Apartment Maintenance Technicians to start ASAP (Palm Desert)

Job description: Career Strategies is currently seeking skilled Apartment Maintenance Technicians to join our team in the Palm Desert, CA area and the surrounding cities for temporary and temp-to-hire opportunities, offering a flexible schedule and weekly pay. Position Overview: As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for keeping Apartment Communities in excellent condition. You’ll perform a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks, including: * Make Readies / Apartment Turns * Plumbing - sink/shower/toilet repair, replacing fixtures, unclogging drains (snaking when applicable) * Electrical - replacing fixtures and switches/outlets * Carpentry - patching holes, replacing doors/locks, hanging cabinetry, light touch-up painting * Appliances - help with installation of W&D, stoves (when applicable), installing garbage disposals, small repairs * Technician should be courteous to residents and provide realistic expectations for completed service requests/work orders Requirements: * At least 6 months Maintenance Experience in Residential, Apartments, Hotels or Private Homes * General knowledge of ALL aspects of maintenance repair, drywall repair plumbing, electrical, and all appliance care * Must have personal hand tools and drill - bring to site daily; do not leave at property * Must have reliable transportation * Must be willing to travel up to 15-25 miles a day * Ability to communicate well and work in a team/solo environment * High attention to detail * Clear communication and ability to follow directions * Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn * HVAC, EPA, CPO or CFC Certification a plus What We Offer: * Pay Range: $19–$23/hour (Depending on Experience and Community) * Weekly Pay – Reliable, on-time compensation * Flexible Scheduling Additional Information: * Equal Opportunity Employer Apply Today: If you meet the requirements and are ready to take the next step in your maintenance career, send us your resume.
