About the position: Nisei is looking for individuals that are highly motivated, possess a positive attitude, dedicated to the hospitality industry, team players, a desire to learn, respectful and honest. Prospective hires must have a minimum of 5 years cooking experience to apply. Michelin star restaurant experience required We are looking for a Sous Chef who can help us push the envelope to what Japanese food can be. The job will include: ordering & receiving product, managing team members, controlling food cost, improving efficiency & quality of the kitchen, assisting in creating dishes, filling in on stations among other tasks. Nisei is proud to source ingredients from the best local farms and purveyors the Bay Area has to offer. Nisei frequently visits farms and wineries for staff education and to establish an honest relationship with each purveyor.
