Job duties will include programming and operating CNC lathes and mills. Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to determine the precise specifications, dimensions, and tolerance levels of the finished product. Utilizes precision measuring instruments, calipers, mics, and pin-gauges to check the accuracy and quality of machined parts. Candidates should own their measurement tools, with the company providing any specialized tools required. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Typically requires 5 to 8+ years of related experience.

The Crooked Spoon Ice Cream Production Operator I works in our food processing plant as part of a team to assemble and stage ingredients, load to create mix bases, and to flavor, extract, package and prepare to ship final product while maintaining the plant’s high standards of manufacturing and cleanliness. Additionally, the Production Operator I will drive a company truck on a pre-defined route 1-2 times per week.

Located in Schertz, halfway between beautiful, warm San Antonio and charming, historic New Braunfels, just off Interstate 35. Candidate must own the minimum required tools (list presented at interview). Ability to operate manual lathes, mills, bandsaws, and drill presses. Read and interpret dwgs. Perform layouts. Willing to work occasional OT and weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday). Scheduled hours are M-F 6am - 2:30pm. CNC experience is helpful, but Manual Machining is required. Salary is negotiable based on experience, skillset, and attitude. We offer 15 gallon/week gas card after 60 days. Medical/Dental/Vision/Life after 90 days. 401k and Vacation after one year.
