As we continue to grow, we are seeking a motivated and dedicated Entry-Level Composites Technician to join our dynamic team. Job Overview: The Entry-Level Composites Technician will primarily be responsible for laying up carbon fiber parts in our manufacturing facility. This role will offer a hands-on opportunity to work with advanced composite materials, ensuring high-quality standards in part fabrication and assembly. Key Responsibilities: • Layup carbon fiber composite materials according to engineering specifications and production schedules. • Prepare and maintain molds and tooling for part fabrication. • Conduct quality checks throughout the layup process to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and standards. • Monitory curing and executing finishing of composite parts. • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. • Document production data, including materials used, part numbers, and production times. • Work collaboratively with engineers and senior technicians to improve processes and product quality. • Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools. • Participate in training sessions to improve skills and knowledge of composites manufacturing techniques. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent (required). • Associates degree or certification in composites technology, materials science, or a related field is a plus. • Prior experience or internships in a composites manufacturing environment is preferred but not required. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions. • Strong attention to detail and quality. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time. • Safety-conscious mindset and willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures. Preferred Skills: • Familiarity with hand layup techniques and composite part fabrication. • Basic understanding of carbon fiber materials and composite manufacturing processes. • Experience with autoclave curing or vacuum bagging processes. • Knowledge of basic mechanical principles and tools. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing final parts by cleaning, inspecting, and treating machined components using a variety of tools and techniques.
