Compensation • Full-time salaried / Part-time hourly options available • Eligible for overtime (full-time or part-time) • Flexible paid time off (full-time only) • Eligible for year-end bonus based upon overall job performance (full-time or part-time) • Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance options (full-time only) • 401(k) savings plan with company matching program available (full-time only) Key Responsibilities: • Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of metals (primarily steel) • Cut, drill, and punch metal components to spec • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and draftings • Set up and build welding jigs and fixtures for repeatable fabrication • Operate basic machining tools (saws, drill press, grinders, etc.) • Ensure all welds meet strength and quality standards • Maintain a clean and safe work area • Work closely with the design and production team to meet project deadlines Qualifications: • 3+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred • Proficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques • Skilled in steel cutting, drilling, and metal finishing • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and technical draftings • Experience with machining and lathe operations is a strong plus • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship • Ability to work independently and take initiative • Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented Additional Requirements: • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods • Punctual and dependable work ethic

Jacob Interior Trim has been in the finish carpentry business for 30+ years and is seeking trim carpenters with all levels of experience to work in residential production housing. We have crews in Kane County (Aurora, Gilberts, Elgin), Kendall County (Yorkville, Oswego), Will County (Joliet, Plainfield, Tinley Park, New Lenox) and Kankakee County (Kankakee, Bourbonnais) and will do our best scheduling to keep you close to home. Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm with opportunities for overtime. Full time, year round, w2 position. Pay is based on experience, $18-35 per hour. The carpenter will have an inventory of their own hand tools to use alongside company provided tools and supplies. The work involved has physical requirements, which include bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, sketches, design details or instructions from supervisors. • Work with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall. • Utilize chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders. • Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. • Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure. • Build stairs, mantles, and cabinetry. • Install cabinets and molding. • Replace and hang doors. • Drill and set door hardware. • Erect scaffolding. • Install partitions, doors, and windows • Maintain clean and orderly work areas. • Cut, shape, and assemble wood, composition, and/or plastic sections with shop tools and equipment such as planers, jointers, shaper, routers, sanders, and various power saws. • Assemble prepared components for various structures, including cabinets, bookcases, desks, and paneled doors. • Prepare structures for finish applications by planing, shaping and sanding; using hand and power tools. • Maintain and clean equipment and work area. • Perform related duties as assigned or needed. QUALIFICATIONS A carpenter must have knowledge of practices, procedures, tools and equipment, material, quality control, and safety.
