22 Bowen's is looking for a Server (Lunch), Busser and Food Runner to join the team. 22 Bowen’s is Rhode Island's Prime Steakhouse; evoking Newport’s charm and sense of place as the City by the Sea’s premier waterfront dining destination. About the Position: Server: In the Server role, you will be interacting, taking orders, and serving meals to guests in the dining area. This position will be primarily working LUNCH SHIFTS. $3.89/Hour - Plus Tips! Busser: In the Busser role, you will be contributing to a pleasant dining experience by cleaning and setting tables, restocking plates, or (at times) serving food. $6.15/Hour - Plus Tips! Food Runner: In the Food Runner role, you will be calling out and verifying food orders in the restaurant, while also Assisting with delivery of food (or beverage when necessary) to guests. $6.15/Hour - Plus Tips! Serve food accurately, including any required tableside preparation. *Know the beverage offerings and provide informed recommendations. Properly serve beverages, including opening, decanting, and pouring wine. *Manage the pacing of each guest’s experience, ensuring timely and attentive service. *Maintain in-depth knowledge of Hestan Napa’s product lines. Engage with guests to answer questions and recommend products. *Process all food and beverage orders through the Toast POS system before service. Handle culinary ware and kitchen equipment transactions via the Shopify POS system. *Complete the A.B.C. Responsible Beverage Service Certification. Adhere strictly to A.B.C. liquor laws, especially regarding service to minors and intoxicated individuals. *Obtain a California Food Handlers Card within 30 days of hire. *Follow all guidelines outlined in the Hestan Napa Standards of Service Manual. *Attend scheduled meetings, including wine seminars, product training sessions, and service improvement workshops. *Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications: *High school diploma or equivalent. *Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing) and basic math. *Ability to stand for up to 6 hours, reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently. *Minimum of 2 years in a high-quality dinner house environment. *Proven ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
