Summary / Objective The Brown Bag Community Coordinator and Driver is responsible for curating and delivering assorted healthy groceries to 3-5 Brown Bag Senior sites daily, Monday-Friday, across Alameda County. The Community Coordinator builds pallets for distribution at our central warehouse, consisting of 12-15 different food items for each assigned site—typically enough to feed 50-150 low-income seniors receiving the donated healthy groceries. At the partner site, the Coordinator oversees distribution of Brown Bag grocery donations to recipients, coordinating site volunteers and completing necessary inventory management processes to ensure effective Mercy Brown Bag Program (MBBP) operations. Essential Functions & Responsibilities · Fulfill grocery orders for East Bay MBBP senior recipients through various partner organizations, typically delivering in bulk or setting up farmers' market–style distributions at 2–5 sites per day. · Curate pallets with 12–15 food items per site, tailored to individual site preferences and aligned with USDA good food guidelines. · Load, unload, and operate 20-foot box trucks and mobile farmers market vehicles for daily grocery deliveries. · Deliver items to 2–5 sites per day, either in bulk or set up farmers market-style distributions. · Provide excellent customer service. coordinating with partner site staff and volunteers to efficiently set up points of distribution. · Collaborate with site coordinators to manage recipient tracking and maintain accurate inventory records. · Submit daily Proof of Delivery for each distribution site, including required inventory documentation, as directed by the MBBP Operations Manager and Director.
