Join us and accelerate your career!  As a Systems Engineer with a strong background in networking and switch technologies you will support the design, integration, and sustainment of advanced switch products for defense applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with software, hardware, and operations teams to ensure the successful delivery of reliable, high-performance network solutions. Your technical expertise will directly influence product development and roadmaps, helping to drive innovation and ensure our solutions meet the evolving needs of mission-critical defense programs.  Key Responsibilities:  Design, configure, and implement network and switching solutions in mission-critical defense systems.  Evaluate and integrate commercial and custom switch/router hardware into secure system architectures.  Own roadmaps for our commercial switch products, taking in requirements from multiple stakeholders in the organization.  Drive development of our switch products to a production schedule, working with the engineering team to overcome obstacles, make implementation trade-offs, and provide technical direction.  Develop and document system architectures, network diagrams, and data flows.  Support lab and field testing, including test plan development and execution.  Analyze performance and reliability metrics, recommending enhancements where needed.  Interface with customers and stakeholders for technical discussions, design reviews, and requirement clarifications.  Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.  Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing custom embedded switch products. Strong knowledge of Layer 2/3 networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, OSPF, etc.).  Experience with network configuration tools, packet analyzers, and diagnostic equipment.  Understanding of DoD systems, requirements, and acquisition lifecycle.  U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a [Secret/Top Secret] security clearance.  Preferred Qualifications:  5+ years of experience in systems or network engineering, ideally in a defense or aerospace environment.  Experience with VICTORY or CMOSS standards.  Experience developing custom switch hardware solutions.  Familiarity with embedded systems and real-time environments.  Prior work on ground vehicles, avionics, or tactical systems.  Experience supporting RMF/IA activities for networked systems.  Hands-on experience with enterprise and embedded switches/routers (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Curtiss-Wright, VICTORY standards).  Benefits Pacific Defense provides competitive salaries and immediately vested 401K match. Network Engineer
DNI/Creative IT Solutions is providing all systems administration and network engineering skill sets for the US Army's global email systems for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Install, configure, administer and maintain currently supported and subsequent versions of network offerings within a commercial cloud tenant construct. Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP), The contractor shall ensure all documents and reports are written and formatted properly. Monitor tenant performance utilizing cloud based monitoring and alerting software. Ensures that all projects they are supporting have the latest updates on and that government leadership is tracking any priority efforts that are not expected to meet mission timelines. The contract should be prepared to participate in high level briefings for workload they are supporting. All contractor actions must be done in accordance with official government guidelines to maintain compliance with all government policies and process. The contractor shall deliver Quality Assurance and Service Level Management project reports using Government owned data to perform and provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual Quality Assurance (QA) reports. The contractor shall ensure projects follow government processes for assigning, categorizing, and documenting from start to completion. Maintain the current dashboard and implement necessary changes to report up to date metrics and analyses. The contractor shall have privileged access to a DISA information system, which shall have an ability and authority to control and change program files, and other users’ access to data. Evaluate and engineer highly available network solutions based upon customers’ requirements which are capable of meeting strict uptime requirements. Implementation and configurations of hardware or software devices and network functions to support new services and applications. Compliance with security controls, including, but not strictly limited to, providing confidentiality, integrity, and availability as well as government compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG), Zero Trust and Defense in depth. Interact/coordinate with service desks, technical staff and customers to resolve technical problems or provide information. Perform backups IAW applicable regulations, policies and guidance and ensure backup failures are properly addressed. Provide callback and after-hours support. Work non-prime shift Requirements 5+ years of network engineering experience An active Secret security clearance is REQUIRED. Security+ certification is REQUIRED.
