Opper Melang Restaurants is looking for experienced Hosts to join our team at the Redmond Matador! ** THURSDAY, FRIDAY, SATURDAY, & SUNDAY EVENINGS ARE A MUST (4pm to CLOSE) ** Average hourly pay is $30-$34 per hour. We are a HIGH VOLUME location, meaning this position makes a great wage and is expected to be actively moving back and forth for the entirety of their shift. We are a bustling restaurant and bar, seeking exceptional team members who hustle and maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times in order to ensure memorable experiences for our Guests. Located at corner of Cleveland and Leary Way, The Matador has been a staple in the neighborhood for many years, offering excellent food, beverages and service to both our newfound and longtime Guests. Ours is a menu of extensive tequilas, fresh ingredients and bold flavors for our strictly 21+ crowd, and we feature Happy Hours twice daily to keep them coming back for more. Our Hosts are responsible for ensuring Guests are greeted warmly within moments of entering the building, always remembering that first impressions last a lifetime. They work closely with Servers, Bartenders, Support Staff and Back of House to help control the flow of the restaurant down to a manageable, well-oiled machine. The immense power that comes with this ability to set the initial tone and assist with its positive maintenance throughout each shift shall be respected and wielded prudently; teamwork and responsibility for helping those around them remain a top priority. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED: - At least 21 years of age. -- Knowledge of the steps of service and dining room procedures, generally involving prior experience as a Host in a fast-paced, physically demanding, full-service, high-volume restaurant. - High school diploma or equivalent required. -- Maintains a current state alcohol serving permit. -- Maintains a current Food Handlers Card. -- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations. -- Honest and reliable. -- Energetic and self-starting with a "Guest First" focus. - Utilizes constructive learning and coaching approaches. - Extensive tequila knowledge a major plus!
