We seek a seasoned horticulturist who is experienced in leading professional garden crews to join our team. You can work either full-time, or part-time (minimum three days a week). Our schedule is from 8-4, Monday through Friday (no weekends). This is a year-round position. The right candidate will have proficiency in all aspects of garden care: correct pruning, mulching, and planting techniques, western Washington weed and plant identification, and more. We seek someone with a depth of horticultural knowledge that surpasses the typical “mow and blow” landscaping operation. We will work with the right person to train them in our standards and systems before placing them in leadership. You will: - Manage the workflow and quality of work on job sites - Ensure that safety standards are being followed - Train and mentor crew members - Communicate daily with clients and managers Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years in professional landscaping with a horticulture-focused company - Experience leading others on a professional garden crew - Excellent plant ID and pruning skills - Strong communication, teamwork, recordkeeping, and organizational skills - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and enjoy working outdoors in all weather - Have a valid WA driver's license and a clean driving record - Have a reliable vehicle for transportation to job sites, and a smartphone for accessing our calendar and other tools. We need someone in that sweet spot: you know your way around a roof, can bend conduit, and have been doing residential solar installs for at least 3 years. What you'll be doing: Working on residential rooftops all over San Francisco and the immediate area. Racking, running conduit, mounting panels, and doing clean work you can be proud of. Enjoying steady, full-time work (40+ hours/week is the norm) with a solid backlog of projects from Potrero Energy (https://potreroenergy.com/) What we need from you: 3+ years of hands-on solar installation experience. You know the process from start to finish. You MUST have your own reliable car to get to job sites. No exceptions! You live within a 60-minute commute of San Francisco (we start early, and nobody likes sitting on the Bay Bridge for an hour). A good attitude.
